We work across industries (automotive, healthcare, financial services, supply chain, and more), from enterprise data engineering to AI-powered use cases and integrations. We value curiosity, technical fluency, strong collaboration, and high integrity.
Your Role
As Foxtrot’s Accounting Lead / Manager, you will manage core accounting responsibilities including maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing month-end close, and ensuring compliance across Foxtrot’s global footprint. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment as part of a lean, two-person finance team—balancing transactional precision with higher-level analysis and ownership of scalable processes.
Responsibilities
This role requires adaptability, strong collaboration, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Depending on organizational needs, responsibilities may include:
- Own the monthly close process end-to-end: prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis with accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review consolidated international financial statements, supporting schedules, and KPI/management reporting.
- Collaborate with finance, HR, and operations teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and revenue recognition.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including updating financial models.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
- Administer payroll and benefits reporting in partnership with HR and external providers.
- Review—and possibly prepare—customer invoices to ensure accurate revenue recognition and proper documentation.
- Manage vendor payments and oversee the full AP cycle, maintaining oversight and control over cash flow.
- Assist with contract reviews and compliance checks, identifying risk areas and ensuring adherence to company terms and conditions.
- Work directly with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and process improvements to build scalable systems and reporting infrastructure.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and improve accounting processes, documentation, and workflows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience).
- 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience; professional services experience preferred.
- Strong systems aptitude (QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, Excel/Sheets).
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP; experience with multi-jurisdictional accounting (Canada/EU) is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work autonomously.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting remote or distributed teams across time zones.
- Experience with audit preparation, tax filings, or international accounting frameworks.
- Professional certification (CPA, CMA) or progress toward one.
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems or automation tools.
