Your Role

We are seeking a USG Business Development Director to drive new business growth through proactive, outbound-led sales efforts with a focus on public sector opportunities—specifically the US Federal Government. This role is ideal for a seasoned hunter with deep experience targeting US Government accounts adopting the Palantir Foundry platform.

You will own the outbound motion, build a consistent pipeline, and close complex deals that help clients unlock the full value of their Foundry investments.

Responsibilities

Outbound Revenue Generation

  • Lead a rigorous outbound prospecting program (email sequences, calling, LinkedIn outreach, ABM campaigns) focused on US Government opportunities.
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline of public sector opportunities, with emphasis on existing Palantir Foundry customers.
  • Develop territory and account plans aligned to ideal client profiles.

Consultative Enterprise Selling

  • Execute a high-touch, consultative sales process to uncover client problems and scope software engineering needs.
  • Partner with engineering, delivery, and sales leadership to shape proposals, SOWs, and value-based business cases.
  • Lead deal strategy, forecasting, and pipeline visibility.
  • Own the full opportunity lifecycle from discovery through RFP, contract signature, and delivery handoff.

Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Execution

  • Collaborate with marketing to design and execute targeted ABM initiatives.
  • Provide account-level insights to tailor messaging, outreach, and multi-threaded engagement.
  • Monitor campaign performance and refine outbound strategies.

Relationship Building & Network Leverage

  • Leverage and expand a personal network of decision-makers across government agencies where Foundry adoption is strong.
  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Operational Excellence

  • Use CRM systems to manage prospecting, pipeline, forecasting, and activity tracking.
  • Maintain strong sales hygiene, reporting, and communication cadence.
  • Deliver accurate forecasting and actionable insights to leadership.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of public sector sales experience with a proven outbound-driven quota track record.
  • Experience selling software engineering consulting, technical services, or enterprise software.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex buying groups.
  • Strong understanding of ABM best practices and multi-channel outbound execution.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and strong time and pipeline management skills.
  • Existing network of relevant industry contacts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in data engineering, data analytics, or enterprise digital transformation.
  • Experience in industries where Palantir Foundry is commonly deployed.
