Your Role

Foxtrot is seeking an Agentic Systems Architect to lead the design and implementation of autonomous and semi-autonomous AI workflows. This is not a "prompt engineering" role; we are looking for a systems-level thinker who understands how to bridge the gap between large language models (LLMs) and reliable enterprise execution. You will be responsible for building the scaffolding that allows agents to interact with complex data environments (specifically Palantir Foundry/AIP), ensuring they are deterministic, governed, and capable of solving multi-step reasoning problems in production.

Responsibilities

• Architect Agentic Frameworks: Design robust multi-agent orchestration patterns (e.g., React, Plan-and-Solve) that can navigate enterprise data schemas and execute API-driven actions.
• Integration & Tooling: Build and maintain the "tools" (APIs, functions, and data pipelines) that agents use to interact with the world, ensuring high reliability and low latency.
• Evaluation & Guardrails: Develop rigorous testing frameworks to evaluate agent performance, including "LLM-as-a-judge" patterns and deterministic regression tests to prevent hallucinations and logic loops.
• Security & Governance: Implement strict permissioning and audit trails for agentic actions, ensuring AI behavior remains within the bounds of enterprise security policies.
• Client Collaboration: Work directly with stakeholders to decompose "fuzzy" business problems into structured, executable AI workflows.
• Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert on the evolving AI landscape, guiding our engineering teams on when to use RAG, fine-tuning, or complex agentic chains. 

Qualifications

• Systems Thinking: Proven ability to design complex software architectures where non-deterministic components (LLMs) interact with deterministic systems (Databases/APIs).
• Coding Proficiency: Strong experience in Python and/or TypeScript, specifically with frameworks like LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
• Data Fluency: Deep understanding of data modeling, vector databases, and SQL/NoSQL architectures.
• Production Experience: Experience deploying AI-powered applications into production environments (not just local demos or prototypes).
• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs (e.g., latency vs. reasoning depth) to both technical peers and non-technical business leaders.

Preferred Experience

• Palantir AIP/Foundry: Hands-on experience building with Palantir’s Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP) is a massive plus.
• DevOps/MLOps: Experience with CI/CD for LLMs, including monitoring agentic "traces" and costs.
• Domain Expertise: Familiarity with the operational complexities of supply chain, healthcare, or highly regulated financial environments.
